The Bridal Path (1959) . 95 min - Comedy - 30 May 1960 . Staring Bill Travers, Bernadette O'Farrell, George Cole . http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0052649/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 . PLOT Based on a novel by Nigel Tranter, The Bridal Path is a light-hearted look at the somewhat unfortunate results that can come of the continued marrying of fairly close cousins in a restricted and remote community. Set in the Hebrides off Scotland, the story tells how Ewan MacEwan leaves the isle of Eorsa in search of the perfect wife. Absolutely hilarious mishaps result. I highly recommend this film; it is an outstanding example of British comedy at its best! You won't find this film on DVD anywhere else. . Source: High definition Digital TV RIP Format: DVD5 Video: NTSC Compression MPEG-2 Display 4:3 720x480 Frame Rate 29.97 fps Picture Progressive Audio English Dolby AC-3/2 Subtitles: None Menu: Yes Custom Compressed: No Extra's: No Covers: Yes . Notes: I am going to break my rule about only releasing untouched original retail DVD's just this once. The reason is that this wonderful and HILARIOUS film has never been released on DVD or VHS tape. It is therefore exceedinly rare, and you won't find it anywhere else on DVD.If you were exceedinly fortunate you might have caught it at some point on TV, and there now seem to be some poor quality streaming renditions of it on Youtube. I have authored a high quality DVD from the high definition digital TV signal which includes a custom menu and chapter set, I believe that you will find this to be very acceptable quality that will rival an original factory disk, (which doesn't exist). If you enjoy the wonderful British comedies released by Ealing Studios in the 1940's and 1950's, then you will love this. This release is really intended for serious collectors who prefer high quality, full DVD's rather than ones reduced to .avi quality. If you are the sort that thinks that .avi video is acceptable, then this release is probably not for you. Unfortunately, you won't be able to get it any other way. Torrent released to TPB 18 September 2013 Enjoy! Cheers, Grumpyman57
